Are you looking for an empathetic mental health professional? Someone who will conduct the assessment that will enable you to access the Veterans Affairs Canada services and benefits you need and deserve?
Through service agreements with medical clinics and health care professionals in a private practice, Veterans Affairs Canada will connect you with one of them.
Whether or not you have other VAC recognized affections, this is a sensitive issue. You may find it difficult to express yourself about your condition, yet it is important that the diagnosis be representative of your actual condition. This will help you avoid long and frustrating future administrative battles with VAC.
Through a simplified and personalized process, we will develop a file that meets the requirements of the specialist who will proceed with your evaluation. Most importantly, we will ensure that he or she fully understands your situation: Our mission is to provide a “bulletproof” file to help you obtain a diagnosis that is representative of your injury.

DISABILITY TAX CREDIT (T2201)
Your brothers and sisters in arms benefit from this tax credit, and you wonder if you are also eligible? Or maybe you are thinking: “There are worse people than me“?
To find out if you might qualify for the disability tax credit, one benchmark is your percentage of disability as shown on your VAC Assessment Summary. The closer it is to 100%, the more justifiable the disability. Even if your disability is entirely psychological or psychiatric in nature.
First, check with your treating health professionals (physician, psychologist, psychiatrist, etc.) to see if any of them would be willing to complete the T2201 form for you at no cost.
Perhaps your doctor is reluctant to sign your form in the absence of your military medical record? Maybe you do not have access to a health care professional?
Veteran Evaluation collaborates with health specialists who are empathetic to the situation of veterans and who, upon receipt of a submission file (included) and according to their availability, evaluate them as part of their application to the T2201 (certain conditions apply). Thanks to a simplified, quick and easy process, all you have to do is sign it, attach the explanatory letter from the health professional and send it to the Canada Revenue Agency (depending on your situation, we can assist you with the process).
