Meeting with Canadian veterans (in all Canadian provinces) has made me aware of the difficulty they meet in obtaining the federal T2201 disability tax credit or obtaining a psychological assessment or reassessment as part of their procedures with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC).
My meetings with Canadian mental health specialists have educated me on the reluctance they experience due to their lack of credentials (e.g., access to military medical records) and their lack of experience with the military community and specifically, operational stress injuries.
