Protection of personal information – Bill 25

Introduction
Évaluation Vétéran is committed to protecting the confidentiality of the personal information of Canadian veterans and to respecting Quebec’s Bill 25.
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect the personal information of our users.
Information Collection
We collect personal information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and information related to the medical and social services that veterans may need or have benefited from.
Use of Information
We use the information collected to:
- Identifying veterans
- Establish and update profile and requirements
- Evaluate requests and eligibility for our services
- Advising veterans according to their situation
- Prepare documents for a healthcare professional.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may accept that your name, e-mail address and website be stored in cookies. These cookies mean you don’t have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies have a lifetime of one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine whether your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set a number of cookies to record your login details and screen display choices. Connection cookies last for two days, while screen option cookies last for one year. If you select the “Remember me” option, your connection will be retained for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be deleted.
If you modify or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data and simply indicates the ID of the item you have just modified. It expires after one day.

How long do we keep your data?
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are kept indefinitely. This allows us to automatically recognize and approve any subsequent comments instead of keeping them in a moderation queue.
For users who register on our website (where applicable), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can view, modify or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also view and modify this information.
Your rights
As a data subject, you have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information. You also have the right to object to or limit the processing of your data.
